Our tasting room is a casual environment for the serious wine lover.

We pour a regularly rotating selection and love talking about our wines. How they’re tasting, how the grapes are grown, where the name came from – we are happy to answer any question, like –

Q: Where did the name DEAD HORSE come from?
A: Our first vintage in 1999 was sourced from Ciel du Cheval, which translates to Horse in the Sky or Horse Heaven. DEAD HORSE just seemed extremely appropriate (although not everyone agreed in the early days, it's worked out pretty well).

Q: Why are there so many motorcycles in here?
A: Mark loves motorcycles and collects them – the tasting rooms have become a decent spot to store them over the years. Our Board Track Racer line is directly inspired by this passion.

Q: There are a lot of rock posters, details?!
A: We’re big music fans, we go to a lot of shows, and believe rock art could be some of the coolest art out there. Mark’s even been influenced by songs and artists for a few wine names.

The tasting room is vibrant and lively, and we like it that way. Music abounds, we have fun, and we pour serious wines created with serious devotion to our winemaking – come join us.

Our Walla Walla tasting room is tucked into downtown and intentionally designed to offer visitors a welcoming space to experience our award-winning wines. Come in and taste our new vintages on the fly, or plan ahead and book the rustic wood dining table for up to ten wine-curious friends.

Now Open! Join us in Downtown Walla Walla Wednesday - Sunday for tastings of our current line-up of wines from Board Track Racer, NumbSkull, and Underground Wine Project. Walk-ins welcome, no reservations. Our Board Track Tasting Room is located in the Showroom on Colville building next door to TMACS.
